A completion certificate for the initial course is valid for an insurance discount for three years from the date of completion.

The certificate may be renewed by successfully completing a renewal experienced driver improvement course within one year of the expiration of the certificate (within four years of the completion date on the certificate.)

A completion certificate for the renewal course is valid for an additional three year insurance discount from the date of completion.
